Corpus Cordis Aureum, which is Latin for "The Golden Corps of the Heart", celebrates our special group of Emory alumni who graduated 50 years ago or more.
Two of Emory Commencement Weekend's core events are designed especially for graduates celebrating their 50-year class reunions and for earlier classes. We will officially induct members of the 50-Year Class and earlier classes into this new group on Sunday during Emory Commencement Weekend at a ceremony at the Miller-Ward Alumni House. At that time, each new member will receive a specially commissioned medallion.
Next, all members of the Corpus Cordis Aureum, including those who have been inducted previously, are invited to participate in the University Commencement ceremonies on Monday on the Quadrangle. Clad in gold robes, the group will march in the processional together and sit up front in the VIP section. During the ceremonies, the group will stand and be recognized, symbolizing all Emory alumni who have gone before them
Membership in Corpus Cordis Aureum is free, and you will receive our specially designed Corpus Cordis Aureum medallion to take home as a memento of your membership. Once inducted in Corpus Cordis Aureum you will have an open invitation to return every year to celebrate new inductees. We hope to see you there!
