Students romp to 18-0 win over admins in debut game

 

In the run up to the inaugural Dooley Cup flag-football game on Feb. 26, the administration team led by Gary Hauk 91PhD practiced several times over the course of a couple months, diagramming plays and developing strategy. It didn't matter much. When Hauk's team of administrators took the field against a team of Student Government Association members, it was the younger squad that took their elders to school. The result was an 18-0 shutout that wasn't as close as the score indicates. See the photos.

Learn how to save a life on Grady's Anatomy

On February 15, 2007, millions of people across the United States sat spellbound as first-year surgical intern Izzie Stevens (played by actress Katherine Heigl) used an everyday work drill to open a man's skull on ABC's Emmy Award-winning drama Grey's Anatomy. Dramatic? Yes. However, even the most open-minded viewer might find such a scenario impossible, but for Sanjay Gupta, the attending physician on the upcoming CNN special Grady's Anatomy, the drama is all too real.

'Beads for Books' aids Katrina relief

On Fat Tuesday, Feb. 20, Lynda Nauright, professor in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, got several knocks on her office door. Her Mardi Gras beads are a hot-ticket item that time of year, but Nauright does not just give them away. She barters them for one thing—books.
