EMORY STUDENT CENTER

In late summer, almost two years to the day that construction broke ground, the new Emory Student Center will open for business. The building, a joint project between Campus Life and Campus Services, is 132,000 square feet—doubling the amount of space for Campus Life programming. The entire university community will have access to enjoy the center—with enough space to house an entire class of students in one area alone. And by class, we mean the Class of 2020, not Bio101. The Dobbs Common Table will have choices for every dietary need from kosher to full-on greasy burger. Students can hang out near foosball tables or lounge in deckchairs in the sun. Want a peek? Check out the Editor's Note below.

Editor's Note: Want a sneak peek for yourself? Campus Life will be giving tours during the upcoming 2019 Commencement. The tours will be scheduled Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 on the hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No registration is required. The official grand opening is September 11, 2019, but they’ll start taking event reservations on June 1, 2019. And if you won't make it during Commencement, please make plans to stop by during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend 2019, October 24-27. Registration opens August 15, and full details will be coming soon.
