Coach Chat: The Five Stages of Women’s Careers
Friday, March 28
12:00-1:00 p.m. ET
In honor of Women’s History month, join Coach Chat for a special focus on the unique career obstacles and opportunities facing women as they navigate their careers. This topic is not just for the ladies, but also for male leaders, fathers and colleagues who want to fully support closing the gender gap in our organizations! Women may represent nearly 50% of the workforce, but the number of women leading in our largest institutions remains remarkably low – and stagnant. In 2013, women held fewer than 15% of executive officer level roles within the Fortune 500, and fewer than 5% of CEO spots (www.catalyst.org). In the early stages of their careers, potential is high and confidence and optimism are plentiful. Then complexity sets in -- the unique intersection of cultural and organizational influences that test confidence and resiliency, and paradigms, beliefs and behaviors that can shift career optimism into career conflict or plateau. Executive Coach Jodie Charlop will discuss the five stages of women’s careers and the development hurdles that must be addressed to ensure that women can unleash their full potential – and ensure that organizations are not deprived of the value of exceptional female talent. Register.
