The Parent Council is comprised of parents of current Emory students and recent graduates who are well-informed and familiar with many facets of the University. Through the Parent-to-Parent Network, Parent Council members serve as a resource for information and support by responding to questions and concerns that current, new, and prospective parents may have.

Parents who have a child who is attending Emory, has been admitted to Emory, or is thinking about applying to Emory are likely to have many questions about our academic programs, our campus resources, and all the "nuts and bolts" of a student's transition to college life (what to expect and what they shouldn't expect). Parent Council members agree to have their contact information listed on Emory's website and stand well-equipped and ready to share their wisdom and offer their advice, practical information and/or support.

The Network is a convenient place where parents can go to ask questions about any aspect of Emory and get answers from other parents who have been in similar situations. It's a way to connect parents with one another so that they can talk about and share their common experiences. The Parent-to-Parent Network is a great place to start for parents who have questions about Emory.

Council members are happy to receive questions and help other parents make informed decisions. They will answer questions themselves and offer their perspective when they can or pass questions on to be answered from a campus representative.
