Parent Council
Parent Council Members serve as a liaison and a conduit, speaking for Emory in their communities and channeling back any information that might be beneficial to the mission of the University. Parent Council members frequently provide the most credible endorsement of Emory to secondary and preparatory counselors as well as to other parents.
The Council also serves in an advisory capacity and evaluates the effectiveness of various parent programs and provides suggestions for improvement.
Finally, Parent Council Members set the standard for parent giving by contributing leadership gifts to the Emory Annual Fund and helping the University identify, cultivate, solicit and steward other parent special gift prospects.
The National Co-Chairs of the Emory Parent Council are Dan and Becky (71OX 76D) Carlon, parents of two Emory College students, one scheduled to graduate in 2009 and another in 2011.
If you would like to speak to a Council member in your area, contact the Emory Parent Giving Program at euparent@emory.edu or 404.727.6200 and we will be more than glad to connect you with the appropriate person.
