Unsung Alumna Heroine Award
Unsung Alumna Heroine Award recipients are selected by the Nominating and Leadership Committee of the Emory Alumni Board.
Award-winners are women who have:
- Taken substantial risks to challenge sexism
- Trailblazed in previously male-dominated environments
- Done significant community service work in the promotion of safety, justice, and equity for girls and women
- Served as role models or mentors for girls or women
Alumnae Unsung Heroines are invited to attend a dinner in their honor in February. Each award-winner is presented with her award before an audience that consists of administrators, friends, family, alumni, and Center for Women board members.
